Navigating Retirement with a GPS: Growing, Protecting and Saving Your Funds for Retirement
Recommended for ages 18+

Planning for a secure financial future can be overwhelming. A variety of topics regarding growing, protecting, and saving funds for retirement will be discussed. Common ways to prepare for retirement are identified, along with an introduction to the basics of wills, trusts, and social security earnings. Topics will help in understanding the importance of early planning for retirement. This session is an overview and non-advisory.

To create the optimal experience, each session is limited to 100 participants.

Jenelle L. Davis
Eastern Region Financial Wellness Educator @SEFCU
Jenelle L. Davis, Eastern Region Financial Wellness Educator, began her SEFCU career in 2013 as a Member Specialist in Syracuse. Davis holds a bachelor’s in business information systems from Messiah College in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Before joining the Institute, Davis spent much of her time in Albany working in various Capital Region branches, where she was able to network and coach people of diverse backgrounds in financial education. Davis brings enthusiasm and passion to her role, with a desire to positively influence lives through solid financial education.
Cheryl Moore
Financial Educator/Media Instructional Designer @SEFCU
Cheryl Moore, Financial Educator/Media Instructional Designer, began her career at SEFCU in 2009 in the Member Solutions Center, providing engaging and informative service experiences for members. Moore holds a master’s degree in learning and emerging technology from the State University of New York, Empire State College. Moore provides the Institute team with the latest research and tools to advance learning outcomes with new digital technologies while ensuring the Institute’s methodology and practice is accessible to all individuals.
Sarah J. Trela
Financial Well-Being Administrator @SEFCU
Sarah Trela, Financial Well-Being Administrator, began her SEFCU career in 2010 as a Member Service Manager, overseeing staff and operations at various branch locations. Trela holds an MBA in information technology management from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Trela has a strong work history in the area of administration and workforce development. Trela is the Institute’s go-to contact for all financial education requests throughout the state.
